Friends of Mueller Park - Hypocrites?

"Friends of Mueller Park " have organized to go after Ken Patey, who has "scarred" the mountain side with the building of a road up the mountain to get to his horses.  Friends claims that Patey is a "Mountain Terrorist" and is ruining their view.  My question is where was Friends when Bountiful City took apart Jim Henry's farm in the 1970s and built the golf course and sold off all of those lots where homes now dot the mountain side?  Where were they when the Mueller Park Stake Center was built with all the homes above it and in the canyon during the 1980s and 1990s?  Oh, I'm sorry, these are the same people who scarred the mountain side with this development...  Isn't this a case of NIMBY (not in my backyard)?  What hypocrisy?  They feign development but were very much a part of it. 

What happend to our City of Bountiful that tolerated people's private use of their own property?  We say we are tolerant but our actions seem to say different...  What say you?
